Thanks for posting this video. Very sad. It's too bad for newspapers, but it's not like they are totally innocent victims... They've known for years that the internet posed a serious threat to their business, and now the economic disaster has just hastened things along...
What's up? JK! I agree. I remember when we would pass notes in school, I'm glad you reminded me of that. It's crazy to think how far it's come. It's almost sad. No, IT IS SAD.
This is beyond sad, its tragic! And troubling. . . When the newspapers die, where will our history, our archives of ideas and letters, diaries, be? How will we record our history of the printed word? What if the digital word no longer exists? Where will we find our history.
I just went to a PRSA luncheon today and one of the top stations news director said how hurtful to the community it would be to see the end of newspapers. Even other mediums don't want to see it go.
